I'm totally biased towards this game because I play the mobile version. :D
My order came on time, and in perfect condition. The only complaint I'd have personally is that the game isn't too long, and is just fan service. Maybe they'll add more story with DLC, but the game is actually kind of average to be honest.
has nep-nep 10 stars
Game was packaged and recieved perfectly as displayed and advertised. It also arrived on time. I purchased the steam version and those codes had no issues once sent. 10/10 I would keep buying my favorite games from Iffy.
Really enjoy the game as a big AL fan. Gameplay is simple. Its pretty talky. But the fan service makes the case for me.
The game itself is very relaxing to play, it's quite different from the mobile game with alot more emphasis on story and character interactions than battles. The collectors edition box and everything in it was very high quality, I'd definitely buy from here again. The art book is almost worth the price alone for a hardcore Azur Lane fan.
The contents in the description are all there as described and in fantastic quality. I'm just a little upset that the standee was scratched a bit upon arrival in its plastic cover.
I bought this game as a fan of the mobile game but it really doesn't feel anything like the mobile game. I understand this game isn't canon to the Azur Lane mobile game but some of the ships act nothing like they're supposed to. The story is very weak and uninteresting while the gameplay is very basic and brain dead but still enjoyable at the start. The best part of the story was the Sirens, since we don't get much of them in the actual game. I will give the game this, at least it tried to have a story, unlike the app that just abandoned its story and has no idea what it's doing anymore. Back to CW though, playing as my favorite ships is really fun, expect there was only about 3 of them. This game lacks a lot playable ships and for some reason, has way more Japanese ships playable than anyone else. My favorite ships are from the Eagle Union and Royal Navy. While the ships that are available on the Royal Navy side are spot on, the ships available to play on the Eagle Union are very odd in choice and for the most part are not up to par in appearance with the rest of the games cast. The Eagle Union in Crosswave has only one busty waifu in St. Louis.. everything else is loli with the exception of Enterprise who's 3D model is very unappealing and her chest size is small. St. Louis is basically the Eagle Union's flagship in Crosswave because she actually competes in appearance with the rest of the cast from the other nations. Another thing is strangely the Eagle Union will not be getting any DLC, being the only nation who doesn't get a DLC . Some of the really important ships in the Eagle Union are not playable as well. There's no Eagle Union Battleship, so they lose a lot of variety that most of the rest have. The 3D models and graphics are okayish, very underwhelming for a PS4 game based on a popular mobile game. This game really does look and feel like doujin game rather than an actual game made by a developer. Overall this game fails to be Azur Lane to me, even the anime had a better story with mostly better character interpretations. This goes especially for the interpretation of Enterprise in CW, who is basically a nobody in the game and her strength means nothing nor is it displayed. The skills are all the same for all the characters with Akagi and Kaga laughably being on par with Enterprise, so there's no reason to pick Enterprise over them. Since Enterprise has no buff from using other Eagle Union ships. and her skills are basically the same. Overall this game doesn't even come close the the Kancolle arcade game and I don't even like Kancolle but it's the truth. The game is not the worst thing ever but for an Azur Lane game on PS4 it fails in nearly every way. Despite that though I enjoyed it enough but I really hope CW doesn't get a sequel and they make a real Azur Lane console/PC game next time. 6/10 for me. Pros and cons below. P.S. Hornet not being playable deserves to be 2 separate cons due to her being one of the very few Eagle Union ships that actually looks like she's from The US. Not being able to see our Cow Girl in 3D is a sin.
Lot's of popular and hot Royal Navy Waifus
Ditto for the Sakura Empire and Iron Blood
St. Louis is amazing in every way
Very casual game like the app
Easy upgrade and unlocking systems
The 3D models on some ships look pretty good
Really nice LE
Easy menus and UI
An Azur Lane console game
Very easy to get platinum/unlock all trophies
CW is not canon and that's a good thing
The 3D models on some ships look really lazy and bad
No Eagle Union DLC
Very Bad Eagle Union representational
Completely wasted Enterprise
Unappealing and small boobed Enterprise 3D model
Way too much Japanese bias all over
Nothing but lolis on the playable Eagle Union side
Making actual good ships like Hornet, Yorktown, Lexington non-playable support ships
Way too many popular Eagle Union ships stuck as support ships and not playable
No Eagle Union BB
No Honolulu in the game at all
Next to no game-play variety
Feels like a cheap cash grab for the most part
Graphics are on par with PS3 games not PS4
Invisible walls everywhere
No game-play mechanics to make things more fun
Photo mode is the most basic of basic having next to no options
Kancolle Arcade does everything this game does but better and with better models/graphics
Not many game modes
No attempt to stick with the canon of the game
No 3D Hornet
Nearly no replayability
Not enough Sirens
No playable Sirens
Story lacks any sense of danger or conflict not WWII feeling.
Everyone is friends in the story because WWII was a happy war according to these people
Product came within one day of expected ship date, very nice metal case for the PS4 CD. the three enameled pins are of good quality. Soundtrack is for the game, while not many songs, they are alright. The Art Book was very nice and it was interesting to see the way some of the characters were designed. Shimakaze figure and the acrylic standee were both nice, and didn't feel cheap, I currently have them out and displayed. Overall, very good collectors box.
